FBs & mail!!!!!!!!

What can I say, it's still gray weather. I know I've been fixated on the weather lately but I am in some desperate need of sunshine. Yesterday we had a small snowstorm, the first of the season. Ugh! I think snow is pretty at the beginning of the season, but not when spring is around the corner. Today it has rained and tonight we are expecting a mix of snow/rain with high winds. When will it end? I am so looking forward to feeling the warmth of the sun on my skin and seeing pretty flowers in bloom. Awe... Next week is our Spring Break so Noah and I will be looking for things to do outside of the house. We've been couped up for too long already. I have a few ideas already so I'll keep you posted. So, onto some FB and mail news.
I made 3 House Mouse FBs for a group swap. They are on their way to Norway. Hope my partner will like them.

I received the House Mouse FBs from my partner this week. They are adorable!

And, some mail news. I received this sweet and chatty letter from my pal Sarah from New Zealand. I certainly wish we had their weather these days.

Also a letter from a new pal Sharon from The Netherlands.

And, a wonderful letter from my friend Ria from Trinidad. She included a few FBs.

And, also a great letter from my friend Saara from Finland who recently got married. Congrats to Saara. She also sent a few FBs.

Bracelet & mail.

Hope you're all having a wonderful weekend. The weather is still gray over here but I'm learning to cope. Ha! Now I have a leaking window so I've had to put a bucket, not fun. It means more money to spend on repairs but isn't that the way it is when you own a house?! Ugh! Well, it's not all bad news. At least we're a few more weeks closer to spring. Yay! On Friday evening I attended a jewellery making class. We made a bracelet and although I know how to make jewellery from previous classes I still learned a few techniques. There's always something to learn and we never know everything. It was really fun too! Take a look below at my bracelet.

My mailbox still remains rather empty these days but I did receive a wonderful letter from my friend Lone from Germany. She included a couple of postcards and lovely photos.

Now, I'm off to play Scramble with Noah. It's just the two of us tonight as Jeffrey is off to work. Ciao!

Deco entries & candy swap!

I'm feeling a bit blah these days with the gray weather. It feels like the sun is hiding from us here in Sherbrooke. Sigh! Anyhow, I wanted to share some recent deco entries with you. The first is a Tilda deco (love Tilda, but can't find anything on her here). I really love how this entry turned out. She is so beautiful!

A Suzy Zoo deco. Also love how it turned out.

And, a Vintage Ads deco. I am loving Vintage more and more, especially as I peruse through various blogs.

And, in today's mail I received my candy swap. Yummy! thanks Stephanie!

So, that's it for today!

Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's day to everyone! I like Valentine's Day although I know many people out there don't. For me it's the celebration of those who are special to me, and also it's nice to have such a colourful day during these LONG winter months. On Friday when I reached for my paycheck in my basket at work I also found these pretty candles from my boss. How thoughtful of her, wouldn't you agree?

This morning Noah woke me up to give me these two beautiful cards. The first one is from him and the second from Jeffrey. I love them.

Then he gave me these two pretty bags made of such pretty fabric.

Here's what I found inside:

Pretty heart shaped earrings. Oh, what pretty breast this wire mannequin has. Ha! Ha!

A really pretty and orginal necklace with a key. I absolutely love it. Jeffrey knows how I like handcrafted and unique jewellery, well, anything unique actually.

And, last but certainly not least, these pretty earrings and a beautiful bracelet. I am so thrilled with everything. Thanks to the sweet men in my life-love ya!

Look at what I made!!!

So, I'm feeling much better after having being so irratated yesterday. Big smiles! I spent some time in my craft room and what a difference. I went to sleep last night feeling great. Here's what I made: 3 Valentine's Day boxes for Noah's teachers. His teachers are so wonderful and I like to show my appreciation whenever I can.

With some little heart chocolates and a tag inside.

I also made a birthday card for a special friend's upcoming birthday.

Now I'm off to do some writing. First I'll share some popcorn with Noah. Goodnight!

A little of this and that!

Have you ever had one of those days where every little thing seems to irrate you without even suffering from PMS? That seems to be what my day has been all about today. Just someone looking at you, suggesting/saying something, someone driving too slow ahead of you, the phone ringing, someone being too happy about something, etc. You get the picture. So, what did I do to get myself out of this funk? Well, I took a nice shower and used some of the handmade smelly (mango) soap I bought in Barbados last summer. Then I had a delicious bagel and bowl of soup so I'm kind of on the mends now. Anyhow, let me share some stuff with you here and that'll make me happy too.
Here is a Valentine's Day card I made for a special someone. I used a House Mouse stamp (love their stamps).

Here's an entry to an art deco. I have a lot of decos to do now which is always fun.

Some recent mail. I received these decos as part of a group swap. Aren't they pretty?

These were part of the same mail.

And, a wonderful letter from my friend Rosita from Finland. I so love reading her letters. She sent pretty tags/labels, stickers, and photos. She designs her own stationary which is always beautiful.

I beleive another reason for my irritation is the fact that my mailbox has remained close to empty for the past three weeks. Oh well! Bye for now everyone!

Decos!

So, Noah and Jeffrey are at the pool right now and I have some quiet time. Yay! I went down to my craft room and made this vintage deco for a group swap. It will travel to Kimie on Monday along with a letter. At first I didn't like it so much but now I think it turned out nicely.

While I was in the craft room I decided to make this entry in a summer themed deco. It will also travel to Kimie's. I really like this one. I love Magnolia stamps.

I'm planning on getting more decos done this weekend for swaps and just to get them on their way. Tonight, however I think I may watch a dvd since I have so many I haven't seen yet. Have a good night, evening, day or whatever it is where you live!

Sliding & mail!!!

Just a quick post to share a day of sliding with Noah in -23 celcius temperatures with windchill. On Monday Noah's class went sliding for about an hour and it was cold. The kids had fun and it was such a beautiful sunny day. Here are a couple of photos of Noah sliding. I wanted to take more photos but it was too cold. Tomorrow Noah has carnival day at school and it is supposed to be warmer than Monday. I'm sure they'll have a ball. Unfortunately I have to work. Sigh! It is winter carnival season here. On Saturday we'll go to a carnival in Magog, a neighbouring city. We like to go every year and it's usually a nice event. At least it gets us out of the house as we don't particularly enjoy winter.

And, some mail news. I was quite happy the mailman decided to show himself this week. Last week he was nowhere in sight and my box remained empty. Anyhow, so far this week I received this wonderful long letter from my friend Molly in USA. She also sent photos and FBs.

I received another wonderful long letter from my pal Isabelle from Switzerland. She also sent FBs.

And, last but certainly not least I received 4 beautiful decos from my pal Margaret from Scotland.

So, that's all she wrote for tonight.
