I'm back to business! :o)

Hey there fellow bloggers and friends! October was one of the most difficult months of my life and I will always hold a special place in my heart for Nikkisum. She will always remain special. Jeffrey and Noah wanted to get kittens to put new life and energy into our home. At first I felt guilty but I am so happy they are here now. They are the sweetest little things. Of course the old lady (Nikkisum's sister) Kylie doesn't like them at all but I'm hoping she'll learn to love or at least tolerate them. So, let me introduce you to our two new family members.
Here is Mustang who loves being carried around and cuddled.

And, here is Subaru who loves playing and getting pets. By the way, they were named by the vet. The vet we go to is actually wonderful. They are like a family there. They have a refuge for abandonned animals. They put them in good host families until they are adopted. They never put any animal to sleep.

Here are the two rascals sleeping. Kylie wasn't too happy about this because they were in her spot. Oh well!

Now, let's move on to Halloween which was last weekend. We woke up to this (see image below) so I was wondering if it wasn't "Merry Christmas" instead of "Happy Halloween". It was a cold night for Trick or Treating but we dressed warmly. We actually had fun walking around the neighbourhood and seeing all of the costumes and decorations.

Pretty pumpkins we saw while out collecting candy with Noah.

This was during the costume parade Noah's school had the Friday before Halloween. Noah has the Mario costume on and the kids are some of his classmates.

Here is Noah's teacher, Mrs Lecompte. We really lucked out getting her this year. She's awesome.

Below are some of my latest creations. I have made many more for swaps but I didn't take photos of them. I had to hurry to mail them out so no time for photo taking. :(
A Vintage Halloween Deco.
All For Kimie Deco.

Another All For Kimie Deco.

A sad update on Nikkisum!

Hello! I'm back but I'm still quite sad and I feel an emotional void and hole in my heart. I had to have my beloved Nikkisum put to sleep this past Wednesday. It was the most difficult decision in my life and the saddess day I have ever lived. Nikkisum only weighed 5.8 pounds, wasn't eating and could hardly walk. I tried everything to help her get well but the kidneys just gave out. She was the most selfless cat and always by my side. I could feel comfort whenever I held her and I miss that feeling terribly. I wish I could have her back. I love her so very much. Below is her photo.

Completly heartbroken & devasted!

I haven't posted in almost two weeks, and not because I don't have anything to post about but because I don't feel up to it at the moment. I have to take a blog break. I am dealing with the fact that one of my cats, Nikkisum is dying. She is in the final stages of kidney failure. I took her to the vet yesterday because she hasn't been eating and has lost an immense amount of weight. They did a complete blood analysis and I was told the devastating news. I have been in steady tears ever since and my heart is breaking. I can't bear the thought of losing her. To me it is like losing a child. She is such a sweet, gentle and docile cat, always there by my side. So, that is all I have to write for now. Catch you at a later time when I am feeling better.

So much to share!

It's been a while! Well I really don't have anything to say for myself except I've been lazy. Days seem to pass and I seem to be busy. I started an aqua-fitness class last week and I LOVE it. It's twice a week and we really get a workout. I have art classes coming up as well. So much to look forward to. :) I have been getting my FB and Deco swaps ready this weekend, writing letters and doing some reading. I decided it was a Jacqueline weekend. :) Well, let me tell you it went way too fast. Tomorrow is the beginning of a new week and I have a list of things to do. Ha! Anyhow, I have some photos to share with you. :)
Here are some FBs with the theme Littlest Pet Shop I made for a group swap.

More FBs with the theme "All For Isabelle" for another group swap.

A Vintage Children Deco I received as part of a group swap.

I received more birthday mail this week. My friend Marjolijn from The Netherlands sent a letter and included some craft supplies for my birthday.

Another beautiful birthday package from my friend Laura from Romania. She made the lovely bracelet and also wrapped craft supplies in an enveloppe. I also love the birthday card she made.

My friend Nicole from the United States (MN) sent a pad of Diddl paper, some stickers and a pretty card.

I also received these beautiful decos as part of a group swap.

Some Littlest Pet Shop FBs as part of another group swap.

A very pretty letter from my friend Maiken from Norway, and two FBs.

Another birthday package from my friend Ioanna from Greece. She sent this lovely purse and scarf.

Last weekend Noah and I went to visit my friend Molly and her family in Keene, New Hampshire, USA once again. We spent most of our weekend shopping. Noah loves shopping, beleive it or not. I think it's genetic because so does my father in law. We had planned on going to the Children's Museum but when we arrived it was closed for cleaning. The website said nothing about being closed. Ugh! The kids played in the little playground for a while and there was also a Merry-Go-Round but, surprisingly, they didn't want to ride on it.

I loved the view of this building from the playground.

Noah and I next to the playground.

Noah and Jadira (Molly's daughter) enjoying their apples.

In the evening Molly and her husband Odi prepared a delicious dinner for us.

Have a nice week! :)

A fantastic mail day! :)

It has been so incredibly gloomy here lately. My goodness I can't beleive how at the beginning of the month it was 40 celcius with sun and ever since it has been 15 celcius, cool and rainy. I really despise this gloomy weather and was just saying that to myself as I walked out to my mailbox this afternoon. But, when I opened it and found 4 packages and 3 enveloppes I was so happy. It really brightened my day. :) So, my birthday continues!

Here are some Daisy Duck FBs part of a group swap. Aren't they so cute? Isabelle also sent me a postcard from Lyon in France.

A letter from Italy from Patrizia and a FB. I love the stationary and enjoyed reading this intro letter.

My friend Claudia from Germany sent a letter along with a beautifully handcrafted card and address labels for my birthday.

From my friend Ria in Trinidad, a pretty card, note paper, note book, stickers and stationary.

From my friend Reiko in Japan, a very cute birthday card, a beautiful handstitched bag and Matryoshka doll rubber stamps. She made the rubber stamps and bag. I absolutely love this handcrafted gift made by her. It's very special.

From my friend Susi in Austria, a great letter, FBs, pretty handcrafted birthday card, notepad, lovely Magnolia rubber stamp and some confetti.

And, this beautiful card from my friend Ioanna in Greece.
I really feel so spoiled and lucky to have such wonderful friends who remember me on my birthday and always. Love to you all. :)

Happy Birthday to me!

Today is my birthday! Happy Birthday to me! I'm never excited about my birthday and I didn't do anything special today. This morning I took Noah horseback riding and then I relaxed the rest of the day. I've been feeling a bit blah these days. Maybe it's the end of summer and upcoming change of season...I really don't know. Well, let me share some photos with you while I reflect on that for a while. :)
I decided to work on some decos this afternoon but only did two. I didn't like the way one of them came out so I'm only posting this one. As you have probably gathered the theme is Diddl.

Okay, some photos of my birthday cake, cards and presents. As you can see by this photo of me with my cake, I also look like I feel, blah.

I've been spoiled with pretty cards from my friends. :)

And, presents too. My friend Maiken from Norway knitted this pretty cloth for me. I really love handmade items. They are truly the most special gifts.

This wonderful package of goodness comes from my friend Rosita in Finland. Some beautiful rubber stamps, craft supplies and such pretty earrings I'm guessing her very talented daughter Emilie made.

Some pretty stationary from my friend Francoise in Belgium.

Another wonderful package from my friend Lone in Germany. Some pretty Diddl stationary, small notebook, tags, stickers for crafting and some very pretty labels she made.

And yet another great package from my friend Nicole from USA. Some pretty Halloween stationary, small notebook, Hello Kitty stickers and notepad and a cute kitty cat washcloth.

Jeffrey and Noah went shopping to this really pretty store I like where everything is handmade and environment friendly. They found this cute little box made from a tree trunk. It's so original and I love it.

And of course they got me some handmade soap which they know I love.

And, that was my birthday. I'm so happy with everything I received. Thanks to all of my friends, Jeffrey and Noah.
Besides cards and presents I also received a couple of swaps. Below is a photo of some Diddl FBs I received from a group swap. Aren't they just adorable?!

And, some Matryoshka FBs from another group swap. I love these little ladies. They're so pretty and colourful.

Yesterday we went to an event at Howard's Park. It's near our home and they have it every year. It's a type of festival in the park. It used to be for artists to show and sell their work but through the years it has become not much of anything really. We were quite disapointed. The entire park land used to belong to a very rich family called the Howard's. The photo below shows actors dressed as Mr and Mrs Howard.

If you want to have a family picnic or just relax with a book it would be nice on this day since there are musicians playing classical music throughout the park.

And, here I am in front of the fountain (which by the way looks like it is coming out of my head) at the park. It really is a pretty park. Noah's school is right across the street from the park.
Have a wonderful week everyone!

Weekend & mail!

It was Labour Day weekend here in North America so today was a holiday. It used to mean summer was officially over and you were no longer supposed to wear white but times have changed. Now you can basically wear what you want and when you want. Well, not that I was one to ever follow trends. Anyhow, I wasn't feeling my best this weekend, nothing's really wrong but I was feeling rather blah. I took naps in mornings and afternoons as I was feeling drained. My grandmother passed away last Wednesday so perhaps it's bothering me more that I realize. I hadn't seen her in over a year since she moved to another province to live with my aunt and uncle. She lived a long life and is at peace now. I wish I could say the same about her children who have never really communicated with one another. It's sad really and I just can't comprehend it. Oh well!
Let's move on to a more interesting topic - MAIL. I just love mail! :) This past week I got a wonderful swap from a fantastic FB artist, Margaret. See FBs below.

And, a wonderful letter from my friend Claire in New Zealand who also included a couple of FBs.

Also, another birthday package from my dear friend Nicole from USA. I didn't open the presents yet but I did open the card, very cute.
